All In: The commitment component


I had another enjoyable brand facilitation session with a successful entrepreneur recently. As we were talking, one thing kept coming to mind: the difference in commitment between someone who starts or owns a company contrasted against another who is a CEO, CFO, or other C-level professional in a public corporation.

Both are invested in succeeding, but the motivations are different. The corporate guy is motivated ultimately by financial compensation and career ambition. The entrepreneur is more often motivated by a deep passion for what he or she does.

Don’t get me wrong—we all like to make money. However, the entrepreneur is not just about the money, he’s all in, heart and soul. He is driven by passion and integrity because that is what builds a successful brand.
